Density of ice versus water(liquid)
Ice is denser than water.water freezes
contracts until a certain degree,about 4
degrees celsius.Then,it expands and the
volume of the solid, which is ice, increases.
So,why is ice denser?
It's actually quite simple. As long as the mass
stays constant, the density decreases as the
volume increases.Because its like the same
mass is being divided by a larger volume than
before and so of course the answer would have
decreased.

Will it be more painful to be hit by ice cubes or water.
Of course,it is ice cubes as they are 'harder' than water.
Water does not really if thrown at you unless with a great
force, while ice cubes will surely hurt you if thrown at you.
Will the water level change?Yes,it will increase as after the ice
melts,it becomes water and adds on to the volume of the water
so the volume increases. So,after the ice melts, the water level
would most likely be at A.
